Job Opportunity – Dialysis Charge Nurse – New York

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed. Primary schedule Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts depending on department needs. Every other weekend 10-hour shift, 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Occasional Sundays due to holidays. Call coverage may be required Monday through Friday 6:00 PM to 5:30 AM and weekend call from 6:00 PM Saturday to 5:30 AM Monday.

Highlights:

• Charge Nurse role overseeing a 24-chair outpatient chronic dialysis unit and 8-station acute coverage
• Work with Fresenius 2008T dialysis machines and Epic charting system
• Comprehensive dialysis skill set required including cannulation of AV fistulas and grafts, catheter management, and blood product administration
• Float to other dialysis locations within the system as needed
• Rotation includes weekends and potential call coverage to support continuous patient care
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis experience required with both outpatient chronic and acute care background

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license required prior to submission
• Minimum 1 year of dialysis nursing experience
• Previous Charge Nurse or Team Leader experience required
• Outpatient Chronic Dialysis experience required
• Acute/Inpatient Dialysis experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Fresenius 2008T machines, vascular access cannulation, catheter management, and dialysis machine troubleshooting
• Experience managing dialysis-related emergencies including hypotension, cardiac arrest, air emboli, and dysrhythmias
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
• First-time travelers accepted
