Duties -Drives tractor trailers and/or other vehicles typically having a GVW of more than 32,000 pounds -Operates one or more electric, LPG, or diesel powered fork lift trucks to facilitate loading and unloading duties -Drives one or more types of passenger buses which carry 16 or more passengers. -Performs operator maintenance -Maintains records and documents actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports. -Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. • Incumbent must possess or have the capability to acquire a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any required endorsements within 12 months of assignment. This requirement is a condition of employment.
• Licensing of federal civilian employees in overseas areas will be governed by Status of Forces Agreements and/or host nation requirements
• Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth
• May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours
• This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program
• Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety
• IAW SA-2024-12, this position requires a physical/medical examination. The physical/medical requirements of this position as determined are: Physical effort is moderate to heavy
• Work requires reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls. Associated duties require stooping, bending, and climbing
• Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 40 pounds and heavier objects with assistance
• Noncritical Sensitive: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
