Adult Family Literacy English Instructor (ESL)
Position: Adult Family Literacy English Instructor (ESL) Effective Date: August 24, 2026 Hours: 3 hours per day-this includes 2 hours of classroom instruction and 1 hour of non-instructional time 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm 2 days per week (Tuesday/Thursday) 74 days per year Pay: See Teacher Contract on Bloomington Public Schools website (Schedule D) Required Licensure: Current MN Teaching Licensure: ESL Required Experience: Teaching English to adults in a Family Literacy program in a diverse environment, experience with, CASAS, SiD, & Distance Learning and ability to build relationships with students and staff, experience utilizing volunteers in a classroom setting. Knowledge and understanding of the 3 content standard areas for Adult Basic Education. Responsibilities: Teaching English to adult students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ongoing lesson planning, testing, and working with a team. Utilizing volunteers. Benefits: Due to the hours of the assignment is not eligible for benefits.
