Contract | Night Shift (3×12 Hours, 19:00-07:15) | Expected 35.25 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a CVICU setting, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios per regulation (1:2, adjustable to 1:3 based on acuity; 1:1 for fresh cardiac open heart patients)
• Care for fresh open heart surgical patients, including post-operative monitoring and management
• Operate and monitor advanced cardiac support devices including intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella
• Float as needed to CCU/CTICU, ICU, and/or stepdown units
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call or working coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) as required by unit needs

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Stroke CEUs required
• Experience with fresh open heart surgical patients, CABG, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, TAVR, and valve replacement procedures
• Every other weekend availability required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

• Familiarity with Epic EMR charting system
• Experience floating across critical care environments including CCU, CTICU, and stepdown units
