We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, ensuring that our clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, while also supporting the medical staff with essential administrative tasks.

Duties

• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Assist with patient examinations and procedures in both clinic and inpatient environments.
• VAXCARE Experience is a MUST!
• Provide emergency medicine support when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical coding as required.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization within the clinic environment to promote a safe space for patients. Experience
• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
• Previous experience in outpatient or inpatient settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and staff alike.
• Familiar with VFC (Delaware immunization) a MUST
