CRNA Clinical Coordinator

Responsibilities Clinical Care: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) implements accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care. Professional Skill: Understands physiological implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures, and continuously monitors vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry during anesthesia according to ASA guidelines. Information Management: Ensures appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements and protects information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Quality Management: Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care. Professional Development: Engages in projects that maintain and advance professional competency. Notes Call CRNA position requires availability to work off‑shifts, weekends, holidays, and willingness to respond to emergency calls. Eligibility for call compensation program is provided. A 90‑day notice is required when transitioning or resigning from the call team. Qualifications Education Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist; completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program; graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program; current State of Connecticut Nursing License; APRN licensure in the State of Connecticut. Experience Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line; none required. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process. Evidence of current competence to practice must be obtainable. Licensure Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (AANA Certification), State of CT RN and APRN license, ACLS, DEA registration, State of CT Controlled Substance Registration. Special Skills Sharp concentration and focus; remain calm under stress. Clear, effective communication with surgeons, the surgical team, patients, and families. Calm and reassuring manner that inspires trust in patients and the team. Immediate and responsive anesthetic patient management. Flexibility and adaptability to changing clinical environments. Physical Demand Must demonstrate intellectual, conceptual, integrative, and quantitative abilities; observe, communicate, and exhibit motor functions. Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, navigate patient care environments, and maintain functional vision and hearing.
