Lead, FP&A Washington, DC, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1151 Salary Range: $130,000.00 To $150,000.00 Annually Reports To: VP, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) As Lead, FP&A, you’ll help the business understand performance, plan effectively, and make informed decisions through strong financial analysis, reporting, and partnership. This role is ideal for someone who can lead FP&A workstreams, translate data into insights, and improve how finance supports the business. Work Location & Flexibility Location Preference: Priority consideration will be given to candidates located in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area. Compensation: Salary Range: DMV Area: $130,000-$150,000 National (Outside DMV): $123,052 - $135,992 Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and location. What You’ll Do Lead budgeting, forecasting, planning, and business review processes. Prepare executive and board-level reporting with clear insights and recommendations. Analyze performance, explain variances, and identify risks and opportunities. Partner with business leaders in financial modeling, scenario planning, and decision support. Use tools such as SQL, Power BI, and FP&A systems to improve reporting and analysis. Improve FP&A processes, reporting routines, and use of automation or AI-enabled tools. What You Bring 4–6 years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 2 years in SaaS Technology business. Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and management reporting skills. Experience preparing executive or board-level financial reporting. Strong analytical skills, including SQL, Power BI, dashboards, and large datasets. Ability to explain financial insights clearly to non-finance partners and senior stakeholders. Collaborative, curious, and comfortable improving processes in a changing environment. Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and KPIs and ability to own the end-to-end revenue forecast model for a SaaS business, with full waterfall from bookings to billings to recognized revenue.
