RADIOLOGY AIDE - PATIENT TRANSPORTER

MUNSTER LOCATION

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Director of Imaging Services and/or Supervisor and in accordance with established policy and procedures, the aide performs multiple jobs in the department. This includes the primary role of transporting patients, assisting others with patients, assisting to clean equipment, answering the phone in a courteous and professional tone and forwarding messages to the appropriate personnel.

Maintains a high level of initiative, dependability and motivation. Communicates effectively and exhibits sound judgment in patient safety and treats all individuals with professionalism and respect.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior direct patient contact, preferred.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patient/families of all ages.
• Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patients, physicians and other hospital associates.
• Maintain CPR Certification.
