Material Handler

Position Description: Under direction loads, unloads, transports and organizes materials. Job Responsibilities: Loads and unloads trucks. Transports materials to designated areas or locations. Supplies production lines with needed materials. Understands Bill of Material (BOM) and/or part requirements in preparation for changeovers. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements: Ability to operate forklift efficiently and safety. Ability to operate other material handling equipment. Basic Computer Skills. Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.

Education: High School diploma General Education Degree.

Experience Requirements: Material Handling experience preferred.

Physical & Environmental Requirements: Some physical demand; often lifts light weight material. Rarely lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material. Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours). Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
