Associate Immigration Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Portland, Oregon. This full-time position requires a bilingual (Spanish/English) attorney passionate about immigration law and client advocacy. The role involves in-office work with potential travel to Tacoma, Washington. Duties Represent clients in various immigration matters, including family‑based petitions and removal defense. Work closely with clients to assess immigration options and guide them through the legal process. Conduct legal research to develop case strategies and provide informed advice. Draft and review immigration applications, petitions, and appeals. Represent clients before USCIS, Dept of State, EOIR, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Collaborate with colleagues to refine case strategies and contribute to a supportive work environment. Stay updated on immigration laws and policies to ensure high‑quality service. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in any State, with a preference for Oregon. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to Tacoma, WA. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Passion for immigration advocacy and human rights. Sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to work with diverse clients. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
