Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - WellMed Medical Group

Position Overview We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Parkdale Plaza clinic in Corpus Christi, TX. Position Highlights Quality vs quantity – typically 14–16 patients per day. Measured and rewarded on quality of care; most providers earn $15,000 bonuses paid semi‑annually. Start with 184 hours PTO in the first year, plus 5 days for CME; 8 national holidays plus one floating holiday. Strong clinical support team including RNs, LVNs, MAs, nurse educators, case managers, clinic administrators, referral managers, coders, centralized scheduling, nurse advice line, and robust IT. Collaborate with primary care physicians (IM & FM), hospitalists, and network of employed/contracted subspecialists. Compensation & Benefits Base salary plus annual quality bonus with a target of $15,000. 401(k) with match and UHG Employee Stock Purchase Program. LTD and STD insurance at no cost. Required Qualifications Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, or licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board, or ability to obtain prior to employment. Valid DEA license or ability to obtain before employment. 1+ year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare‑aged patient population. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency. Working understanding and support of a managed care environment. Salary Range & Additional Information The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $156,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
