Our client, a leader in commercial and industrial facility management, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting building maintenance and technical services. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician Location: Richmond, VA

What's the Job?

• Assist with operational maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial/industrial buildings and systems.
• Inspect, calibrate, maintain, test, and repair facility systems including HVAC, electrical, lighting, fire safety, boilers, refrigeration units, compressors, motors, pumps, and controls.
• Perform carpentry, plumbing, painting, and snow removal to ensure the integrity of building infrastructure and grounds.
• Utilize CMMS computer systems to document tasks, maintain equipment histories, and input work orders efficiently.
• Participate in safety training and adhere to OSHA, local, and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.

What's Needed?

• Good general working knowledge of all trades and proven mechanical ability.
• Basic computer skills with familiarity in operating Building Management Systems preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and communicate effectively.
• Attention to detail and understanding of business implications and decision-making.
• 2 years of related experience in commercial facility maintenance.
