And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you!As a member of the FBM Avionics team in the FBM Program Integration directorate, you’ll work on the team responsible for leading the FBM Age Management efforts for assessing the Trident II (D5) Flight System based on calendar life degradation and functional operation from initial manufacture to removal from service. This role is responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and technical scope of engineering evaluations related to age risks on the flight system assemblies.This Role This Project Engineer will be supporting the Avionics D5/LE team. The key responsibilities include:Performing Project Engineering duties for various age management initiativesReviewing actuals, metrics, and scheduleIdentifying issues and deep diving to determine root cause and corrective actionProactive project management (early risk identification, deconflicting long-range schedule conflicts, and proper communication to stakeholders).Communication with suppliers & subcontract management teams to align schedule and cost with delivery dates.Supporting the Age Management D5/LE IPT lead by presenting status, risks, opportunities and long-range plans.Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases.
