Your Role As a first shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you'll provide hands‑on care to residents in a designated neighborhood, which may include long‑term care, skilled nursing, or memory care. You'll work alongside nurses and other members of the care team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and person‑centered care. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) You'll help with: Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating Helping residents safely transfer, reposition, and ambulate Monitoring residents and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team Encouraging resident independence and participation in daily routines Documenting care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment Following infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality standards Developing positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers What We're Looking For We're looking for dependable, compassionate individuals who are committed to providing exceptional care. Qualifications include: Active certification on the Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Registry in good standing Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic computer proficiency Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment Proficiency in spoken and written English Schedule Day Shift: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Full‑Time and Part‑Time opportunities available Most schedules include every other weekend Schedule may vary based on staffing needs Why Maine Veterans' Homes?
