About the Position

Patient diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis. The shift is during the night and works on a schedule that includes every other weekend and every other holiday. Staff must adhere to float policies as required. Candidates should have experience in charting systems, specifically Epic. Nurses will be expected to manage chest tubes, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmias, as well as provide tracheostomy care and manage patients with renal failure. The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Candidates must disclose any pre-start time off and verify that they meet all experience requirements as part of their application. Responsibilities will include adhering to unit-specific patient care protocols and collaborating with various support services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
