PATIENT TRANSPORTER

Job TitleTransportation StaffJob DescriptionTransportation staff will arrive at the unit with the transport vehicle (i.e., stretcher or wheelchair) specified at the time of request, stop at the Nursing station to retrieve the chart and/or card, report to the patient's room, greet the patient by name, identify the patient by armband, and introduce themselves to the parents, patient, and nursing staff as appropriate. Assist the patient and/or nursing with the physical transfer of the patient onto the vehicle and transport the patient to the appointment. Bodies of deceased patients will be transported to the Morgue by transport personnel.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
