About the Role

We're looking for a highly organized, creative, and community-minded Social Media & Content Coordinator who can support, execute, and help grow our presence across social platforms and owned content channels. This includes everything from hands-on content creation — filming, editing, and posting for Instagram and TikTok — to community engagement, social copywriting, scheduling, reporting, and audience relationship management.

To be successful in this role, you are highly organized, proactive, and hands-on. You're excited by social media, storytelling, and digital culture, and you're just as comfortable being in front of or behind the camera as you are writing captions, engaging with our community, and tracking performance. 

You'll play a key role in helping bring our brand's voice to life across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms — ensuring content goes out on time, our community feels seen and supported, and our brand shows up consistently and authentically. Key Responsibilities

• Create original content for Instagram and TikTok — including filming, editing, and publishing Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static posts.
• Write, shoot, and edit short-form video content (talking-to-camera, product features, trend-based content, educational/explainer content) that fits Bird&Be's voice and resonates with our community.
• Support the full lifecycle of social content — from ideation and planning to scheduling, publishing, and performance reporting.
• Draft compelling captions and copy for every post, adapting tone and format to each platform.
• Monitor and manage community engagement — responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, on-brand, and empathetic manner.
• Maintain and update the content calendar, coordinating timelines across marketing, creative, and product teams.
• Plan and execute content shoots, including sourcing props/locations, coordinating talent or UGC creators, and organizing assets.
• Stay on top of trending audio, formats, and challenges, and adapt them quickly for Bird&Be's platforms.
• Repurpose existing content (photoshoots, campaigns, influencer content) into new social-first formats.
• Track social and community performance metrics (engagement, growth, sentiment) and compile regular reporting.
• Assist with community-building initiatives, including UGC campaigns, giveaways, and audience Q&As.
• Monitor social trends, platform updates, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the social media landscape.
• Support copywriting needs across captions, community responses, blog posts, newsletters, and other owned content.
• Help maintain brand consistency across tone, messaging, and visual style in all community-facing touchpoints.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, affiliate/influencer, and ecommerce teams to support launches and campaigns.
• Help ensure all content deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in social media, content creation, community management, or related marketing roles.
• Passion for social media, storytelling, and digital culture.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice across platforms and audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok, ideally with a portfolio or personal/professional content examples to share.
• Comfortable being on camera when needed, and skilled at directing others (talent, UGC creators) for on-camera content.
• Proficiency with mobile editing tools such as CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Later, Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite) is a strong asset.
• Comfortable using Google Sheets, project management tools, and social media platforms daily.
• Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and evolving platform trends.
• Positive, proactive, and collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn.
• Comfortable engaging directly with community members, including on sensitive or emotional topics, with empathy and professionalism.
• Confidently use AI to accelerate workflows and find efficiencies, with the ability to know its limits and maintain strong brand and communication standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in wellness, beauty, fertility, lifestyle, or consumer health brands.
• A personal or professional social account/portfolio showcasing original video content.
• Basic photography and graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, Lightroom).
• Experience moderating or growing an online community (Facebook Group, Discord, Slack community, etc.).
• Understanding of social listening, sentiment analysis, and audience insights.
• Experience supporting influencer or affiliate content alongside owned social content.
