Media Prep Technician (2nd Shift)

Eurofins seeks a Media Prep Technician for second shift operations in Horsham, PA. The role involves preparing and sterilizing microbiological media, operating autoclaves, cleaning laboratory glassware, and maintaining accurate documentation to support onsite and satellite laboratory testing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare liquid media and agar for microbiological testing applications
- Operate and maintain autoclaves for sterilization of media and waste
- Clean laboratory glassware using automatic washers and manual methods
- Document media preparation, equipment usage, and calibration in laboratory logbooks
- Report equipment malfunctions and workload issues to management immediately
Requirements
- High school diploma with chemistry, biology, and algebra coursework
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and independent work abilities
- U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required
- Adaptability to changing laboratory media needs
