What You'll Actually Do

This isn't a vague "technician" role. Here's the real work:

• Drive a fully outfitted PIRTEK mobile service van across Brooklyn and the greater NYC area
• Respond to on-site breakdowns, routinely on an emergency basis
• Diagnose, replace, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses
• Work on: Marine equipment, tugboats, and shipyards; Construction equipment; Industrial machinery; Machine servicing and cylinder repair
• Be part of the on-call rotation (yes, nights and weekends happen — and yes, you're paid extra for it)
• Communicate clearly with customers — explaining what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it
• Keep your truck, tools, and paperwork in order so you're always ready to roll

You Might Be a Fit If…

• You like working with your hands and figuring things out

• You have a valid driver's license and can pass a background and drug check

No hose experience? No problem. We provide hands-on training and 24/7 technical support. Training & Growth

• 4–6 weeks of structured training
• Then you'll be trusted to run your own service calls
• Over time, you'll gain specialized repair knowledge (marine, cylinders, advanced diagnostics)
• Strong performers can move into Lead Tech roles within 12–24 months
• This is a career path, not a dead-end job
