About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their mission-driven team. The CTO will be responsible for shaping and driving the organization's solution and information architecture, strategic technology roadmap, and technology enablement of the product roadmap. This role requires a deep understanding of the intersection of technology and data in delivering knowledge-based solutions to a professional audience. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in software development for web and content applications, and a proven track record in leadership. Key responsibilities for the CTO include building a vision for updated content and product management infrastructure, working with technology partners to streamline the ingestion and transformation of legal data, and guiding product teams to leverage advancements in technology to enhance the company's products and business objectives. Applicants for the CTO position at the company should have 7-10 years' of leadership experience in product management and engineering, with a focus on building compelling consumer-facing product experiences. Experience in the data, information, and analytics industries is preferred, as is a background in technical applications such as Python, Ruby, XML, SQL, and SaaS. The role demands a candidate with strong analytical, problem-solving, and management skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. The CTO will be expected to lead a small team of developers and engineers, manage strategic technology and IT vendor relationships, and be adept at project management and user experience design. A Bachelor's degree in technology or a related field is required, and the ideal candidate will be curious, collaborative, and pragmatic.
