Hospitalist - Nocturnist

Position Overview Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Abington Hospital. This role involves working one week on/one week off and offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a sustainable work schedule. Responsibilities Evaluate and admit patients from the Emergency Department (ED). Conduct night rounds and manage ongoing inpatient care. Provide backup to APPs and assist with ICU needs, including rapid responses and Code Blue events. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams—nursing, specialists, social work—to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change. Maintain accurate and timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance and proper coding.
