Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments for adult patients in acute care and SNF settings.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication and swallowing disorders.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function.
- Document progress in patient records and communicate findings with the multidisciplinary team; adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and collaboration with nursing and rehabilitation staff.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and maintain accurate, timely documentation.

Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing facility with acute care responsibilities
- Proficiency in assessments and interventions for adult speech-language pathology needs
- Strong documentation skills and clear communication with an interprofessional team
- Ability to collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and support staff
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment for 14 weeks with guaranteed hours
- Licensure/credentialing requirements will be verified per applicable state regulations
