Traveling Excavator Operator - Stripping Crew

Full-Time | Benefits Eligible | Statewide Travel RequiredCapital Materials Quarries is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our Traveling Stripping Crew. This position is based out of Sedalia, Missouri and requires travel to quarry locations across the state of Missouri.Hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursement are provided for travel assignments.This is a full-time, year-round position working outdoors in quarry environments.Responsibilities:Operate excavators for stripping overburden and material removalPerform digging, grading, and material handling to support production goalsSafely operate equipment in various weather and site conditions (dust, heat, noise, uneven terrain)Conduct daily inspections and perform routine maintenance on equipmentWork with the foreman and crew to complete daily work plansMaintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operation near personnel and other equipmentPerform general labor duties as neededComplete other tasks as assigned by managementRequirements:Willingness to travel throughout Missouri (week-to-week assignments) and work weekends as neededExperience operating excavators in quarry, construction, or heavy civil environments preferredStrong understanding of equipment operation and jobsite safety practicesAbility to work outdoors in changing conditionsValid driver's licenseAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalCompensation and Benefits:Competitive wages based on experienceHotel accommodations provided while travelingMileage reimbursementHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planLife insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageAdditional Information:This position requires regular travel and may involve extended time away from home depending on project location.Equal Opportunity Employer:All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. #J-18808-Ljbffr Capital Quarries Company Inc
