Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current California SLP license (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome to apply
- Experience in school-based therapy or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and fellow specialists
- Skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment plans for students with diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech, language, and communication assessments for students, identifying areas for intervention
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) supporting students’ unique goals
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Consult with classroom teachers and parents, offering strategies to support carryover of skills
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings, staying aligned with school and district protocols
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging environment where every student can develop their potential
