Our experienced team of systems, software, mechanical, and electrical engineers collaborates to deliver innovative solutions that support the evolving needs of our customers and their missions.We are seeking a Senior Electronics Technician to play a key role in the assembly, integration, testing, and support of our integrated weapon systems. This position is ideal for a technician with strong electronics manufacturing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development and production environment.Here is what you will be working on day to day:Perform all phases of electronic assembly and manufacturingAssemble circuit cards, including through-hole and SMT solderingFabricate and assemble electronic interconnects such as harnesses and cablesBuild and assemble control panelsPerform basic mechanical fabricationConstruct and check out military cablesWork with high-power, high-voltage AC and DC circuits and controllersConduct basic testing and troubleshooting of electronic units and assembliesBuild and verify in-house designed electronic test equipmentInterpret and work from electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, manufacturing outlines, worksheets, and parts listsCoordinate with engineering, drafting, machine shop, quality assurance, purchasing, subcontractors, and vendors to support program goalsContribute to cost estimates, schedules, and technical proposals as neededFollow lab safety, ESD, and quality standards in all aspects of workHere are the skills we need you to bring with you:High school diploma or GEDFormal electronics training from a technical school, Class A or B military electronics school, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant hands-on experienceCertification to J-STD-001 or equivalent soldering standard, or ability to obtain certificationAbility to solder small electronic components and connections using microscopes or other vision-enhancing toolsExperience with military cable manufacturing methods and requirementsAbility to read and interpret electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and other technical documentationUnderstanding of ESD prevention practices and electro-mechanical lab safety proceduresExperience using small power and hand tools (drills, hammers, drivers, etc.), and measuring equipment (calipers, etc.)Ability to disassemble, reassemble, and repair electronic and electromechanical assembliesFamiliarity with IPC standards related to the assembly and repair of electronic components preferredFamiliarity with common electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and metersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteSalary Range Transparency: Santa Barbara, CA $40.00–$50.00 HourlyThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
