SHIFT: Weekend Incentive Program - Days - Fri-Sun 7AM-7:30PM\n

\nThe practice of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is performed by radiologic technologists responsible for the use of radio frequencies (RF’s) within a magnetic field on humans of all ages (newborn to geriatric) for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. An MRI technologist performs MRI procedures utilizing MRI scanners and power injectors producing cross-sectional and 3D images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.\n
Core Competencies
\n \nPerform all the duties of an MRI Technologist I.
\nCapable of safely administering contrast or other imaging agents including the identification of incompatibilities and/or interactions.
\nExpected to assess a patient’s risk for allergic reaction to contrast media and other related medications prior to administration and following appropriate protocols for escalation of concerns.
\nExpected to evaluate lab values prior to administering contrast media or other related medications and beginning the ordered examination.
\nCapable of providing accurate explanations and instructions to the patient and family using age-appropriate language and verifying that the patient understands and agrees to the completion of the ordered exam.
\nCapable of performing ordered exams or therapy in accordance with established imaging protocols while respecting the patient’s ability and comfort.
\nCapable of adhering to policies and utilizing protocols to determine that expected outcomes have been met.
\nCapable of documenting deviations from protocol and/or patient-specific issues that may impact image quality.
\nCapable of notifying the appropriate health care provider when an immediate clinical response is necessary based on procedural findings, patient condition, or other relevant concerns that may impact patient safety or care.
\nExpected to timely complete all required post-processing, image display, and transfer for physician review.
\nExpected demonstrates timely order closure, charge entry, and PACS QA completion.
\nExpected to routinely cover open shifts as appropriate based on your level of competency.
\n \nAdvanced Competencies: N/A
\n \nKnowledge and Competency
\nExperienced and competent in routine and complex studies.
\nComplete understanding of technical standards, scope of practice, department and health system policies, and safety and service standards.
\nComplete understanding of imaging equipment, image processing software, instrumentation, and ancillary patient care equipment.
\n \nEducation, Certification & Experience
\n \n The position requires Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) within the first 90 days of hire.

Compensation Grade Ranges: MRI Technologist I WIP: $34.00 - $48.70 MRI Technologist II WIP: $34.00 - $48.70 MRI Technologist III WIP: $35.19 - $54.55 Actual Salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.\n
