Job Summary:
A perioperative registered nurse (RN) is needed in a critical access facility located in Polson, Montana. The position involves working in the operating room (OR), including preoperative (Pre-Op), post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and intraoperative settings, with a focus on surgical specialties such as gynecology, orthopedics, gastrointestinal, ENT, dental, and pain management. Candidates are required to bring their valid Montana or Compact Registered Nurse license on their first day.

Job Details:

• Position: Perioperative RN in Operating Room (OR) specialty
• Location: Polson, Montana
• Shift: 8 shifts per month, days only, with variable weekend on-call requirements (every 3rd or 4th weekend depending on rotation and time off requests)
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with a possibility of 10-hour shifts 4 days per week; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Experience: 2 years of previous charge experience in surgical services, specifically working in Preoperative (Pre-Op) and PACU phases
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)*, PALS
• Skills and Procedures: Experience with abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, blood administration, adult dentistry, ambulatory OR procedures, appendectomy, arthroscopy, bilateral tubal ligation, cesarean sections, cardiac monitoring, carpal tunnel release, cholecystectomy, fracture reduction, colonoscopy, conscious sedation, Dilation & Curettage, endoscopy, electrosurgical units, fire safety, general OR procedures, Hana table, hernia repair, infection control, laparoscopic procedures, laser safety, latex allergy management, malignant hyperthermia preparedness, mastectomy, mastoidectomy, myringotomy with tubes, open fracture reduction, pediatric dentistry, radiation safety, specimen handling, peripheral IV placement, sterile techniques, various surgical procedures, universal protocol procedures, urinary catheterization, wound management.

• Additional notes: Candidate must have experience working in critical access hospitals and be prepared to float within surgical services. All travelers must be prepared for possible floating within the facility. Vaccinations are not required.
• Submission notes: Must confirm prior work at Providence facilities if applicable. A valid Montana or Compact RN license is required at the time of submission. References: 2 within the last 3 years covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs). Returning Providence staff must wait 3 months before submitting.
