Plant Mechanic

We are looking for a Plant Mechanic toControl the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic repair and preventive maintenance. (Travel a Must Louisiana-Texas) Responsibilities Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair all mechanical and electrical equipment and share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts/principles to other maintenance personnel. Observes all OSHA and facility safety rules and regulations including the use of personal protective equipment. Assures Preventative maintenance program is conducted on all plant equipment and report and qualify results. Provides emergency unscheduled repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Inform the appropriate facility personnel/supervisors of any necessary modifications or system malfunctions that would affect their area of operation. Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed. Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by their leader. Requirements Must have good communication skills Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate independent reasoning and judgment. Must have the ability to work in and contribute to production improvement, associate involvement and temporary teams as assigned. Possess basic plumbing, and general facilities/building maintenance, machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, drafting, and blueprint reading knowledge.
