Production Supervisor 2nd shift

Job Summary: The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations on the production floor to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role leads a team of production employees, coordinates workflow, resolves issues in real time, and ensures production targets and deadlines are consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees to meet production schedules and quality standards. Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and manage labor to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment; enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks. Provide on-the-floor coaching, direction, and feedback to production staff; assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary. Troubleshoot production issues, equipment breakdowns, or delays in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams. Ensure accurate reporting of production metrics, downtime, scrap, and other operational data. Lead start-of-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and expectations clearly to the team. Partner with Quality Assurance to uphold product standards and quickly address quality concerns. Support continuous improvement initiatives and encourage team engagement in problem-solving. Manage timekeeping, attendance, and basic administrative tasks for team members. Qualifications: Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred, or 5 years' experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree At least three (2) years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production setting Strong understanding of production processes, workflow management, and safety regulations. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proficiency with production systems, ERP software, and basic Microsoft Office tools. Ability to work flexible hours or shifts, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as required. Accountabilities: Achieve UPH productivity targets. Reduce Incident Reports. Maintain low scrap levels. Achieve Service Level goals. Safety & Environmental Compliance Workforce training and development General maintenance and performance of the department. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical tasks as needed. Exposure to noise, temperature variations, and industrial equipment. The pay range for this position is $72,989 - $80,455 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
