Accounting Associate 1

The Accounting Associate 1 is responsible for processing routine financial transactions, including travel expenses, maintaining accurate fixed asset records, and assisting with financial reporting activities under direct supervision. This role also supports general administrative tasks and other accounting-related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent bookkeeping experience. Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. Experience using SAP or a related ERP system. Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Working knowledge of applicable state, federal, and local regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a high level of numerical accuracy. Responsibilities and Duties Compile, review, and organize financial information to support accurate accounting records and reporting. Handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism. Prepare financial forms, documents, schedules, and reports as assigned. Assist with assigned month-end close activities, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Support compliance, reporting, and audit readiness by preparing basic financial schedules, reports, and audit documentation in accordance with applicable requirements. Use SAP and other accounting systems to enter, retrieve, and maintain financial data accurately. Maintain organized records, documentation, and filing systems to ensure information is complete and accessible.
