Responsibilities Guides, directs, and coaches employees to deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Understands the needs of BMO customers or prospects to provide sales and service in the best interests of the customer. Advises customers on products and strategies that meet their financial objectives. Identifies and makes referrals to other business groups. Supports sales and customer service activities to meet strategic customer experience and profitability goals in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and the bank’s policies and processes. Serves as an originator of consumer loans, complying with RegulationZ, RegulationG, the S.A.F.E. Act, and requiring Federal registration through NMLS. Builds and executes a branch business plan to maximize growth, wallet share, and customer retention and acquisition. Conducts sales calls, establishes a personal referral network, and engages in business development activities. Prospects, conducts cold calls, and develops new customer relationships. Maintains a high‑touch relationship with key branch customers and prospects and resolves related issues using knowledge of bank services, products, and processes. Monitors sales and service performance against plan, identifies gaps, and implements corrective action plans. Provides technical training and support to branch employees, recommending improvements to operational and sales effectiveness. Ensures compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies, including anti‑money laundering obligations. Coordinates the implementation of national and regional sales and service initiatives within the branch. Manages transactional outcomes for customer calls and escalates unresolved or complex situations to higher management. Maintains confidentiality of customer and bank information. Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Employs sound judgment and risk‑informed decision making in line with the bank’s risk framework. Qualifications Typically between 4–6 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory or management experience (preferred). In‑depth knowledge of retail banking products and services, competitive marketplace trends, and branch operational processes and policies. Working knowledge of branch technologies, performance metrics, applicable regulations, audit standards, and related directives. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent collaboration, team‑building, analytical, problem‑solving, influence, and data‑driven decision‑making skills. Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience. Compensation Salary range: $57,500.00 – $106,500.00 (Salaried). Compensation may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, commissions, and other perks.
