Mainframe Modernization Consultant

Mainframe Modernization Consultant
Summary Support modernization initiatives by analyzing mainframe systems and implementing migration strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct application assessments and identify modernization opportunities.
- Execute code conversion and integration with modern platforms.
- Collaborate with architects and delivery teams for smooth transition.
- Prepare technical documentation, estimate, and assist in testing phases.
- Mentor consultants and oversee technical execution.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, Assembler.
- Knowledge of modernization frameworks and tools (Micro Focus, BluAge, Heirloom) including AI/GenAI based tooling/use case.
- Exposure to APIs, microservices, and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Should have executed at least one (1) mainframe modernization assessment and one (1) mainframe modernization program.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
