Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (12-Hour Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week (48 Hours Available Upon Request)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a cardiac-heavy patient population including AFib with RVR, flutter, heart blocks, CHF, COPD, sepsis, post-ablation, and dialysis patients
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and 12-lead EKG interpretation; required to pass telemetry competency testing
• Initiate and titrate IV drips including antiarrhythmics, Heparin, aminophylline, Cardizem, Tikosyn, and Amiodarone
• Manage chest tubes, indwelling drains, nephrostomy tubes, CBI, and PIV insertion
• Float within skillset to sister campuses (approximately 8–11 miles away) with a minimum of 2 hours notice for cross-campus float; mid-shift float within the same campus is also possible
• May be required to precept students and new hires in this teaching facility environment

Required Qualifications

• Current, active compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification (must be current)
• AHA ACLS certification (must be current)
• NIHSS certification (must be current)
• Minimum 2 years of strong Cardiac / Telemetry experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment; Trauma Level II experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent EPIC charting experience (a checkoff class will be required upon start)
• Demonstrated proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation and antidysrhythmic medication management
• Strong critical thinking, assessment skills, and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
