Individuals with an education or training in psychology, social services, early education, or behavioral sciences, or experience as daycare/preschool workers, paraprofessionals, DSPs, nannies, babysitters, or anyone who loves working with kids. What Happens After I Apply? An on‑call recruiter will schedule a 30‑minute virtual interview. Next, you’ll be invited for an on‑site interview and a shadowing session with a current Behavior Technician. Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients. Follow prescribed skill‑acquisition and behavior‑support plans. Collect data, write therapy notes. Communicate with parents and caregivers about progress (with guidance from the BCBA). Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials. Maintain and acquire functional and technical knowledge by attending required trainings. Follow BACB guidelines. Work toward becoming an RBT, if not already. Foster a positive working environment. Requirements Basic & Essential Functions Must be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 lb. Must be willing to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated in the behavior support plan. Must maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending) for extended periods. Must walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three‑foot distance. Must attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing. Must have manual dexterity for data collection and session documentation. Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication. Must transfer written data to electronic files. Must maintain prolonged computer work. Must assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space. Must administer medication to clients. Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and be detail oriented. Ability to be flexible and adaptable. Act with integrity and professionalism. Preferred Experience Experience working with children ages 2–12 in various settings (classroom, day‑care, 1:1, instructional). Experience implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; educational or allied‑health background.
