About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong background in finance leadership, particularly within project-based industries. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years' experience in a progressive finance role, with a preference for those who have worked in construction, heavy civil, utilities, sitework, or infrastructure projects. The CFO will be responsible for influencing executive decision-making, building trust across departments, and providing strategic and tactical financial leadership. Strong technical expertise in construction accounting, including job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, backlog, and margins, is essential. The role also requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a proven track record as a CFO or VP of Finance, with experience in scaling a company. The role demands a leader with the ability to manage banking, bonding, cash flow, working capital, and equipment financing, and who can partner effectively with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required, with a CPA and/or MBA being preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project-based industries, experience with KPIs, dashboards, and advanced financial reporting, and a history of fostering a positive, team-oriented workplace culture. While not mandatory, experience in a values-based, faith-informed organizational culture is a plus.
