Gettysburg College's Dining Services team is looking for a dependable, hardworking Food Service Worker to join our student dining center team! Job duties include but are not limited to: operating the dish machine and hand-washing pots and pans to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, and cookware; scraping, sorting, loading, and unloading dishes and utensils throughout service; keeping the dish room clean, organized, and sanitized, including operating the food dehydrator (Ecovim); setting up and maintaining serving lines, ensuring food is labeled correctly and held at proper temperatures; serving menu items, restocking supplies, and checking meal cards as students and guests come through the line; cleaning and sanitizing serving lines, coffee stations, and dining areas between meals; assisting with special event setup, themed dinners, and catering as needed; performing light custodial duties and other tasks as assigned. Status: Full-Time, Support Staff.

Qualifications - No specific education or experience required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 40 lbs.). A team player who works well with various groups of people. Reliable attendance and willingness to work scheduled hours, including some overtime. Able to follow simple verbal and written instructions. A positive, can-do attitude and flexibility to jump in where needed.
