Job Description
Registered Nurse - Surgical ICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, with a requirement to float as needed and work potentially all weekend shifts. Must be flexible with scheduling.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Surgical ICU. The ideal candidate will have experience in a large teaching facility and will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients post cardiac surgery, as well as those undergoing vascular, trauma-level 1, general surgery, and neurosurgery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and competent nursing care to ICU patients.
• Float to Medical ICU (MICU) as required based on patient care needs.
• Monitor and manage patient critical care conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an intensive care setting.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required prior to start.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with hemodynamic devices and proficiency with the EPIC EMR system within the past 2 years.
