About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their family-owned, multi-entity automotive group. The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, planning, and performance management. This hands-on leadership role involves serving as a key advisor on financial decisions, growth, and capital allocation, overseeing all accounting operations, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidate will also drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning, analyze business performance, and provide actionable insights. Experience in multi-entity financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and a strong foundation in public accounting/audit are essential. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive dealership finance, experience in financial strategy, FP&A, and operational finance, and a proven track record of leading accounting functions in multi-entity environments. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills are a must, as is the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in accounting functions. The role also involves evaluating acquisitions, new store opportunities, and strategic initiatives, and requires the ability to build, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team.
