We are seeking a skilled and reliable  Commercial Door Technician to install, service, and repair commercial pedestrian doors and related hardware. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, understands safety and code compliance, and enjoys working in the field with a customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain commercial pedestrian doors, frames, and hardware
• Service door closers, panic hardware, hinges, locks, automatic operators, and related components
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and recommend appropriate repairs
• Ensure all work complies with ADA, fire/life safety codes, and manufacturer specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls as needed
• Accurately document work orders, service reports, and parts used
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal team members
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
• Follow all company safety policies and job site regulations

Qualifications

• Experience working with commercial pedestrian doors and hardware (preferred)
• Knowledge of ADA requirements, fire-rated assemblies, and door hardware standards
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and manufacturer instructions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various field conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to pass background checks and obtain access to military bases and other secured facilities

Preferred (but Not Required)

• AAADM, DHI, or similar industry certifications
• Experience with automatic door operators
• Background in construction, carpentry, or locksmithing
