EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab Provide quality patient care services in a cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation setting while performing advanced EKG arrhythmia recognition and related clinical responsibilities. Responsibilities Advanced EKG arrhythmia recognition and interpretation. Maintain accurate, precise, and detail‑oriented documentation, filing, and basic calculations. Operate communication equipment and basic medical devices. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and interdisciplinary teams, both orally and in writing. Handle stressful situations calmly and professionally, including medical emergencies. Perform ancillary duties required within Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab, such as patient mobility assistance and basic exercise instruction. Maintain good physical and mental health to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and lift as required. Use appropriate body mechanics to avoid limitations. Assess visual acuity for reading printed materials and monitoring patients; use corrective lenses if necessary. Assess hearing acuity for understanding spoken language and for auscultation of the patient’s chest with a stethoscope. Qualifications B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field. ACLS course completion. ACSM Certified Exercise Specialist preferred. Previous experience in dysrhythmia detection and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation or adult fitness program. Strong judgment, communication skills, pleasant personality, and good interpersonal skills. Capacity to work under supervision or independently as directed. Aptitude for working calmly and efficiently in stressful situations and handling medical emergencies.
