Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Pennsylvania license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 24 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

• 24 months gap required between for Travel at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - WVU Medicine.

Additional Details:

Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.

Special Requests: Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers. If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Self-scheduling and blocked schedules are allowed as long as unit needs are met.

Unit Details: 1W: mainly post-surgical and orthopedic patients. 2E: mainly Med-Surg, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and occasional inpatient chemo patients; chemo volume is low and chemo is administered by the director and manager. COVID patients may be housed on one hallway while clean patients are on another; assignments may include both clean and dirty patients at the same time. Remote telemetry patients are monitored by a monitor tech on the 3rd floor; there are no monitors on the unit. Drips include heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac drips. BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow are managed by RT. No CNAs on nights.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun); required to work 2 Fridays per schedule. Most staff group their Friday with their weekend shifts, working Fri/Sat/Sun. Work into the permanent staff holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: Float only to other Med-Surg units.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
