The Mills County 911 Communications Center has immediate openings for the Position of 911 Telecommunicator (Full Time). The 911 Telecommunicator position is responsible for answering 911 calls and dispatching agencies for law enforcement, fire, and emergency services; answers non-emergency phone calls for law enforcement agencies within Mills County; operates radio console and handles requests for information and assistance; enters and updates information in the computer aided dispatch system and the Iowa Teletype system. Training will be provided. Minimum Qualifications Must obtain CPR certifications, IOWA/NCIC certification and Emergency Medical Dispatching certification within a timeframe established by the Director. Must successfully complete all required training, maintain all certifications as needed, and successfully pass a background investigation. Requires flexible hours for scheduling, including nights, weekends and holidays. Employee Benefits Non-Certified Full-Time: Hourly Wage starts at $22.60/Hour with all County Benefits.
