Surgical Technician

Job Description

This position is for a Surgical Technician who will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring a sterile environment. The selected candidate will work the night shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, for a duration of 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other healthcare team members during operations.
• Handle instruments and equipment necessary for surgical procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are readily available and properly sterilized.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver quality care to patients.

Qualifications

• Certification from HSPA or CBSPD.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Ability to adhere to established standards for patient care and safety.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Cerner.

Additional Information

The surgical team values collaboration and professionalism. Candidates should be comfortable with the possibility of floating to other units as necessary. Scrub colors will be provided, and parking arrangements will be shared upon hire. This role may require weekend call responsibilities.
