• Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of or willingness to learn and strictly follow EPA GLP, USDA-APHIS, and relevant international regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and study protocols.

• Precision & Detail-Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail with a solid track record of following complex process instructions and maintaining accurate documentation.

• Technical Aptitude: Comfortable navigating corporate databases and electronic software systems. Ability to operate standard and specialized laboratory equipment.

• Workflow & Communication: great organizational skills to prioritize tasks across multiple workflows in a fast-paced environment; effective communication skills with a willingness to ask questions when needed.

• Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and lift up to 50 lbs under varying laboratory/warehouse conditions.

salary: $24.35 - $27.88 per hour

Responsibilities

Depending on study needs and team rotations, you will support operations across the following key areas:

• Sample Management & Logistics: Receive, inventory, track, and package plant sample materials (seeds, tissue, and plant parts). Prepare and ship standardized plant sampling kits.

• Inventory Control: Manage, place, and retrieve study materials across various storage conditions (ambient, 4&degree;C, -20&degree;C walk-in units, -80&degree;C upright freezers, and warehouse storage). Forklift operation experience is a plus, but optional training will be provided.

• Sample & Seed Preparation: Aliquot, package, and prepare seed for downstream molecular analysis. Use specialized milling equipment to process samples for regulatory studies and internal clients.

• Controlled Environment & Plant Care: Assist with general plant care, seed propagation, controlled pollination, and tissue sampling in regulated greenhouses and growth chambers.

• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain strict compliance with EPA Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), USDA-APHIS guidelines, and international regulatory standards. Document all seed and sample handling activities accurately in both manual logs and electronic databases.

Role is in a science production lab handling crop seed inventory.

NOTE: Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklift (candidates must have at least 6 months of verifiable forklift experience).
