Once the vehicle is ready, the technician will reassemble the vehicle. Job Requirements Follow the company blueprinting process and disassembly procedures (DFR) for all vehicle inspections. Disassemble vehicles after the initial estimate, inspect all vehicles for internal structure and parts from the initial inspection, and identify additional damage. Complete disassembly of the vehicle to assist estimators in assessing damage to prepare a 100% repair plan. Document and record additional damage and required parts on a damage report. Notify the production manager/estimator regarding supplements based on additional damage/parts discovered. Assist the metal technician with reassembly upon completion of the repair, as needed. Reassemble vehicle – replace final moldings, trim, and detail pieces. Perform assigned duties safely and responsibly that do not expose yourself or other employees to unnecessary risk of injury. Other duties as assigned. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements At least one year of auto body repair experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. HS Diploma or GED, Auto Body Vo-Tech certification strongly preferred. Ability to effectively communicate with others. Ability to read and understand basic instructions, written estimates, and work orders. Multi-tasking; adapt easily to fast-paced environments. Physical Requirements Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel and pull. Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting, and stooping to complete or inspect repairs. Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 80lbs). Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination to operate equipment. Performing repetitive motions.
