About the Role


We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Packing (Machine Operator, Packing) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 2, you will be accountable for operating and maintaining packaging equipment to ensure a continuous, accurate, and safe flow of finished goods through the packaging and palletizing process while meeting quality and production standards.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Hours: 2 PM- 10:30 PM
• Weekend availability: Required as needed

Core Accountabilities (What You'll be Doing)

• Operate and adjust packaging machinery to meet product specifications and production requirements
• Monitor product quality, labeling accuracy, and metal detection systems to ensure food safety and compliance
• Maintain a continuous flow of materials and finished goods to support efficient production and palletizing
• Communicate with cross-functional teams (QA, Maintenance, Shipping) to resolve issues and minimize downtime
• Complete required documentation and production records accurately and legibly each shift
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with GMP and safety standards
• Support team operations through collaboration, training, and flexibility in assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic math and timekeeping skills
• Ability to make logical decisions in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, push, or move up to 50 lbs and frequently carry over 20 lbs
• Ability to work in varying conditions (hot, cold, wet, noisy, or confined environments)

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards
• Experience operating packaging or automated production equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a production setting
• Experience training or supporting new team members
