Excellent Opportunity for an Accounting Professional Looking to Grow
Our client in Bergen County, NJ is anticipating the addition of a Staff Accountant to their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity
- Assist with financial reporting and month-end schedules
- Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
- Support audit requests and year-end reporting requirements
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Internship experience will be considered
- Strong understanding of accounting principles xhyhwjd
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
