Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to SNF residents during the night shift, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention as needed
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, manage IV therapy per orders, and document accurately
• Perform ongoing patient assessments; update and follow care plans; communicate changes to the oncoming shift and interdisciplinary team
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhere to infection control protocols, and apply appropriate safety precautions
• Respond to emergencies per facility policy; initiate basic life support and seek timely escalation
• Complete thorough shift handoffs, educate residents and families as appropriate, and document care activities in the electronic health record

Requirements

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of SNF RN experience
• Education: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN)
• Ability to work 5x8 night shift (2300-0730)
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able to work at least four 8-hour shifts per week
• Local candidates within 50 miles are preferred; travel rate may be adjusted for local travelers
