The successful candidate will join a distinguished multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing excellence in patient care, innovation, education, and research across the full spectrum of congenital heart disease.Job DutiesThe successful candidate will:Provide comprehensive surgical care for neonates, children, and adults with congenital heart disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Participate in the Division's congenital heart surgery call schedule, including transplant and mechanical circulatory support services.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes across a broad range of congenital heart conditions.Contribute to the academic mission through clinical research, quality initiatives, scholarly activity, and publication.Educate and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.Support program growth through engagement with referring physicians, outreach efforts, and strategic initiatives.Demonstrate clinical leadership while fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and excellence.Minimum QualificationsMD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.Completion of an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.Board certified or board eligible in Thoracic Surgery/Cardiothoracic Surgery.Eligibility for an unrestricted Texas medical license.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and academic scholarship.Interest in clinical research, outcomes research, surgical innovation, and/or quality improvement initiatives.Experience working within a multidisciplinary congenital heart disease program.Academic OpportunityThis faculty position offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the most respected congenital heart surgery programs in the country while helping shape the future of pediatric and adult congenital heart care.
