RN Days Need for State of Arizona

Schedule Working 12‑hour shifts 6:00 am‑6:30 pm (36‑40 hours per week) This is a contracted position for the State of Arizona. Job Description Administer medication and perform treatments on an assigned unit, as ordered by the physician and within scope of the license Receive and deliver information regarding residents’ medical, social, functional and other needs Participate in receiving and giving of shift reports Communicate with residents, families and staff as necessary to ensure residents receive appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team Perform the initial admission nursing assessment on a newly admitted resident; assist with the development of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews and care plans Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment and summary of client progress Lead and perform limited supervision of subordinate staff and assist as needed with direct resident care for the completion of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene and mobility Conduct and participate in in‑service training and staff development programs for regularly employed staff and other duties as assigned Utilize AMS concepts and tools for problem solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiency; other duties as assigned, as related to the position Apply knowledge of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practices, residents’ condition and changing medical/physical/psychological care needs, effects of the aging process, team nursing practices, development of treatment plans, pharmacology and medicines, federal, state and agency laws, rules and regulations governing general professional nursing practices and the security and control of medical supplies and medications and dispensing thereof, and professional nursing methods and techniques Observe and assess behavior and progress of patients; apply and interpret state and agency laws and regulations governing geriatric nursing practices; develop and carry out patient care plans within a team nursing concept Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and build interpersonal relationships; learn, implement and monitor AMS methods, and use AMS concepts and tools for problem solving and continuous work/process improvement and efficiency Preference(s) Prefer at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or long‑term care setting Requirements Active RN license in the state of Arizona #J-18808-Ljbffr TeemaGroup
